Software Reviews of Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2007 [Old Version]Customer Review: Oh, the money I have saved using this program! Summary: 4 StarsI bought this program at my local Staples store. It was the last copy of the 2007 program & the 2008 versions were on the shelf. It was marked "way-down" and it had a valid [...]mail-in rebate. When "all was said & done", this program cost me less than [...]! I used the abbreviated install, which requires inserting a particular CD, when prompted. This is a little bit of a hassle, but not much. I used to go to my "card box" & look for a card for a particular person. Now, I go to my computer. Cards in retail stores have gotten so expensive! Making cards with this program not only saves me money, I can personalize the cards anyway I want! One thing this program does not allow is to make any other size of cards but half-fold & quartef-fold. Envelopes for these sizes are readily available at Staples & other office-supply stores. But, I would like to make cards to fit "regular" envelopes (3.5" x 6.5", and "letter size" envelopes. One application I use this program for is to make cards for the military troops deployed & in hospitals. I have found some pretty letterhead papers & they make a nice quarter-fold card & this program puts the text in the right "direction". My printers are not fancy - one is a two cartridge HP & the other is a four-cartridge Brother all-in-one. I also like the templates for labels. I only keep two sizes of labels in my cabinet: full-page & Avery 5160 equivalent (30 labels to the sheet). All other sizes & shapes, I figure, can be easily cut-out. I also like "importing" art-work or pictures from other files in my computer. Most of the time, I find the art-work included with this program is sufficient. The only detail that can't be done with this program is metallic/glitter. For the price, it has paid for itself many, many times over. I have thought about up-grading to a newer version, but the reviews I have read here seem to sy that the art-work is pretty much the same.
Customer Review: CARD STUDIO 2007 Summary: 2 StarsI purchased this program for newer cards. I have found new pics and verses BUT I like to make most of my cards as quarter fold cards, and this won't do it or I haven't found a way to make it print right. the picture is not centerd on the page. When the card is folded the picture is too high. I have been folding them so the picture is centered and cutting off the excess. I makes the card a little shorter. I don't like this.
Customer Review: Love it!! Summary: 5 StarsI don't know what people are complaining about. I have had no trouble at all using this. It has more cards than one could imagine. There's something for everyone. I did go to hallmarksoftware.com/support and download the patch before I did any projects. This is great and I would recommend it to anyone. I am having so much fun with it.
Customer Review: Hallmark Card studio Deluxe. Summary: 5 StarsVery easy to use, great selections faster than last edition, I also love the event planner calendar, great for reminders and simple to use.
Customer Review: Not a great deal on Hallmark Software Summary: 2 StarsI thought I was getting a complete package; no instruction manual enclosed and one CD was scratched. Paid full price for a supposed new version; newer version for 2008 was same amount where I live. So what's the great deal from Amazon? Never again!
